This page contains comparison crops taken from scans performed with the Canon FS4000 film scanner, the Canon 9950F flat bed scanner, and the Canon 8600 scanner. All images have been tuned with USM to get as much detail as possible from the scanners. I also adjusted the color of the scans to match each other as close as possible, just to make the comparison as fair as possible :0) I rely don't care about the straight scan results because I think that the final result is the one and only thing that counts. All scans are at 4800dpi and saved as jpg quality 10 (High) The FS4000 are interpolated to 4800 from its maximum scan resolution of 4000dpi. |
