All crop's below is at 4800dpi at 100% from the above 35mm Velvia 100F slide film. |
USM=unsharp mask sharpening A=amount R=radius T=threshold |
Scanned with Scangear 13.0.0 software with settings displayed at page 1 |
Crop 1 no USM applied, straight from scanner. |
Crop 1 USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 |
Crop 2
no USM applied,
straight from scanner. |
Crop 2 USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 |
Crop 2 scanned at 2400dpi and up scaled to 4800 (Bicubic smooth setting in PS) |
USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 (I think I can spot that the 4800 scan catch a bit more detail than than the 2400 pix scan, the 4800 scan is also less grainy. |
Crop 3
no USM applied,
straight from scanner. |
Crop 3 USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 |
Crop 4
no USM applied,
straight from scanner. |
Crop 4 USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 |
Crop 4 scanned at 2400dpi and up scaled to 4800 (Bicubic smooth setting in PS) |
USM applied A=400 R=2.1 T=0 (Again the 4800 scan catch a bit more detail and seams sharper than than the 2400 pix scan, usm settings same as in 4800 scan. |
