Wet scanning with a Canon 8800F |
I thought that maybe someone will pull the question, "Will wet scanning improve image quality from the Canon canoscan 8800F?" |
Image above shows my used method, a piece of glass and some Zippo fluid. I didn't have the proper stuff to do it by the rules, but i guess it will give you a ruff hint of what to expect from the wet mounting technique when used with this scanner. |

Hmmm! Wet scan actually looks a bit less sharp! But it also carry a different grain/noise structure so maybe it is possible to use some more sharpening for the wet scanned image, I will not do that here it just confuse you even more :0) But if you like just download the full resolution wet scan from here: [Canon canoscan 8800F wet scan download] (Click "download photo" in Picasa window) Saved as jpg quality 10 no sharpening after scan has been applied! |
