Sigma APO 150-500mm f/5-6.3 DG OS HSM review by Stockholmviews.com, page 9

On request Additional images for comparing shoots at different settings :0)

A few readers have "complained" about some parts of this amateur review.
The complains have been focused on those issues.

1. Being an amateur review ( I agree, that's because I'm an amateur :0)

2. Test shots has been concentrated to be mostly shoot @ F8 (I found F8 to be the
sharpest aperture and I wanted to se how good this lens could perform and not
how bad, Anyhow this page will change that :0)

3. Some shoots have been spotted to carry signs of mirror slap influence/ vibrations
Well this page will also highlight that, bellow you can chose several apertures
with and without mirror lock up.

Below you can select and compare two images with different aperture focal length
and mirror lock up on or off more focal length will be added shortly.

Thank you for your visit/Stefan

My final verdict then?  I keep it!

The Sigma 150-500mm OS is a great performer at the price.
I have enjoyed using it, there are certainly many better long lenses on the market but at the moment I feel that this one is the best bang for the buck.

It is versatile and useful on a safari and doesn't cost as much as the safari it self.
I could of course have bought the Nikon 200-400mm f4 IF-ED AF-S VR.

But then I would ben forced to cancel my Svalbard trip to afford it I wouldn't have
had the 500mm reach either (unless I had bought an expensive tele-converter to).

Well the Nikon 80-400mm VR then?
Not for me thank you, old and slow due to no AF-S, if there would have been a new
version of this lens at the moment I was shopping around, then I might have walked on the Nikon way even thought it probably would have cost me at a minimum of 2x Sigma but that was not the case no Nikon competition in sight :0}

Thank you for reading/ Stefan
